We
are working on several pages of links and other resources helpful
to those who want to learn more about the art, techniques and
benefits of storytelling and puppetry. Such a resource list can
never be considered complete. Please tell us about links we should
consider adding. Click
here to send us an email, listing the complete URL. We would
also like to hear about books and other resources you find helpful.
Of course, we always appreciate being told if any of the links
listed are broken. |
| Educational
benefits of storytelling and puppetry |
| |
This
section (still under construction) will include links to a wide
variety of sources about the educational benefits of programs
like those offered by Kaleidoscope Storytellers. |
| Kaleidoscopes |
| |
"Kaleidoscope"
is part of our name, so we just had to include
this annotated list of online
and book resources about kaleidoscopes even if they're
not directly related to storytelling. Have you tried making the
simple kaleidoscope in our activities
section? |
| Puppets
and puppetry |
| |
This
annotated list (still being compiled) will include sources for
ready-made puppets, along with links to organizations and festivals,
and resources for information on making and using puppets. |
| Storytelling, storytellers and
story sources |
| |
Part
of this section is now completed: an annotated list of websites
with information on storytelling. Still to come: a bibliography
of print materials about storytelling and online sources of stories. |
| Tangrams |
| |
Tangram
puzzles can be a fun addition to a storytelling program. A tangram
can also teach math and spatial relationships, as well as being
a fun mind game. In addition to the tangram puzzles and ideas
provided in our activities section,
we have compiled an annotated
list of online and book resources about tangrams. |
