For a fun, after-story activity, you can show the children
how to make a talking frog out of a piece of paper.
1. Fold a sheet of green construction paper in thirds lengthwise
2. Turn the folded paper over and fold it in half crosswise.
3. Then fold one end of the paper figure up. Turn the paper over
and fold the other end up
4. Turn the paper sideways it should look like a "W".
5. The ends of the "W" are little paper pockets. Slide
your fingers into one pocket and your thumb into the other.
6. Decorate your puppet. Draw big froggy eyes and little froggy
nostrils on the top pocket. Draw tonsils and a long skinny tongue
on the inner fold between the two pockets. Glue or staple on
some paper arms.
7. Bring your thumb and fingers together and apart to make your
little frog puppet talk.
